Farmers' Market to Host Touch-A-Truck Event in Sea Bright

Put your imagination in gear and start your engines! Join us for Sea Bright’s 1st Annual Touch-A-Truck Extravaganza!

Touch-A-Truck is a fun, family event enjoyed by kids of all ages! Kids will be able to sit in the driver’s seat, take pictures and explore everything inside a real police car. This Thursday, September 18th from 3 to 5PM, Sea Bright Police Chief John Sorrentino and his staff will on hand at the farmers’ market to demonstrate how to best protect our towns. Located at Sea Bright’s municipal parking lot on Ocean Avenue.

You’ll also be in time to meet Sea Bright’s rising culinary star Chef Kyle from DIVE Coastal Bar who will prepare a dish using locally grown fruit and vegetables. Come sample one of Sea Bright’s best new and innovative chefs.

Sea Bright’s Farmers’ Market is held every Thursday from 2 to 7pm, through October and is conveniently located in the municipal parking lot on Ocean Avenue. Participants include Great Road Farm and Krowicki Farms for locally produced and naturally grown fruits and vegetables, PickleLicious for olives and pickles, Holly Jolly Jams for jams and jellies, Neshanic Valley Beekeeprs for locally produced honey, Baker’s Bounty for breads and cakes, Fair Mountain Coffee for locally roasted organic coffee, Happy Harvest Hydroponics for the freshest greens you’ve ever tasted and Franklin Soaps for handmade, natural soaps.

The Market, which is sponsored by the Sea Bright Borough Council and its Sustainable Sea Bright Committee, is currently operated by Community Green Market Organizers, a volunteer group that assists local communities set-up and run farmers’ markets. Community Green Market Organizers is committed to connecting shoppers directly with regional farmers and food producers. In doing so, we encourage and support the age-old form of conducting commerce - local, community-scale businesses selling to their neighbors and surrounding community.
