Ferrari-Carano Wine Dinner at Salt Creek Grille

Salt Creek Grille is pleased to present an amazing wine
dinner
created by Executive Chef Bob Belt featuring the distinguished wines of
Ferrari-Carano
, a leading producer of world-class, nationally-acclaimed
wines. Dinner begins at 7 p.m. in Salt Creek Grille’s private dining room with
spectacular views of the Navesink River. The cost is $95 per person (excludes tax and
gratuity.) All wines will also be available for retail purchase at Salt Creek Grille.

Reception: Ferrari-Carano
Bella Luce
, a unique, white wine blend, the 2012 Bella Luce, means “beautiful
light” in Italian. Bella Luce is a fragrant and light wine with refreshing
acidity that is made from varieties that complement one another in aromas,
flavors and texture. It is the perfect wine to start any memorable occasion.
Bella Luce will be served with artisan cheeses and accompaniments

First
Course: Ferrari-Carano Siena
, a 90+ rated wine that has delicious aromas and
flavors of fresh-picked blackberries, cola, cinnamon, and vanilla bean. Siena
has tannins that are soft, harmonious and mouth coating with lovely viscosity,
depth and a tremendous finish. Siena will be paired with Basil Pesto Flatbread
with Prosciutto de Parma, Goat Cheese, Heirloom Tomatoes, Baby Arugula, Shaved
Asiago



Second
Course: Ferrari-Carano Bella Luce.
Guests will revisit the refreshing delightfulness
and versatility of this wine that is the perfect complement to seafood dishes. Bella
Luce will be paired with Shrimp Ceviche with Tomatoes, Avocado and Cucumber.

Third
Course: Ferrari-Carano Trésor
, vibrant aromas and flavors of blackberry syrup,
baking spices, toasted oak, black tea, cedar, vanilla and cassis, combine with
a full, rich mid-palate with considerable, round tannins. This wine’s upfront
silkiness and roundness make for a delicious selection for a robust dish
such as Chef Belt’s Dry Aged Ribeye with Blue Affinee Cheese, Horseradish
potato Puree, Brussels Sprout Hash.



Fourth
Course: Ferrari-Carano El Dorado Gold,
a dessert wine comes from Sonoma County
and is 100% Semillon. Intense aromas and flavors of dried apricot, honey,
nutmeg, pralines and maple follow through to orange peel, pear and vanilla
bean. The perfect accompaniment to Summer Berry Crème Brule.
