Hazlet Woman Busted In Atlantic Highlands, Tried To Hide Heroin In Sweatpants

A 24-year-old Hazlet woman was arrested on drug charges Wednesday after a full ziplock bag containing heroin residue was found in the waste band of her sweatpants, police said.

Serrina Battista was charged with possessing a controlled dangerous substance in Atlantic Highlands, police said.

Battista allegedly possessed the bags within 50 feet of a public park, and attempted to cover it up with her sweatshirt.

She was arrested on $35,000 bail and is schedule to appear in court on Monday at 5 p.m.
