Local Man And Woman Killed In Rumson Motorcycle Crash
John Berry Jr., 29, of Atlantic Highlands, and Stephanie Hogan 28, of Red Bank, were killed in the crash Saturday night on Hartshorne Road.
RUMSON, NJ — A man and a woman were killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday evening on Hartshorne Road in Rumson, announced Monmouth County Prosecutor Chris Gramiccioni.
The crash happened at approximately 7:20 p.m. Saturday, May 18: John J. Berry Jr., 29, of Atlantic Highlands, and his passenger, Stephanie Hogan 28, of Red Bank, were riding a 2018 Kawasaki Ninja motorcycle westbound on Hartshorne Road, approaching the intersection of Navesink Avenue where Hartshorne Road becomes Ridge Road.
That's when they struck a 2019 Jeep Wrangler driven by two teenagers, said the county prosecutor.

Both riders were ejected from the motorcycle and were critically injured. Berry and Hogan were pronounced dead at the scene at 8:02 p.m.
The driver of the Wrangler and one passenger, both minors, stopped and remained on scene. Because they are minors, the prosecutor's office said it would not be releasing any further details about what towns the minors live in.

The crash remains under investigation by the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office, and Rumson Police Department and the Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART).
