Local Teen Breaks Into Vacant Rumson Home, Police Say

Police have long had an issue with teens sneaking into this vacant house on Rumson Road. He was charged with burglary.

RUMSON, NJ — A 17-year-old local Rumson teen was arrested this past Sunday and charged with sneaking into a vacant home on Rumson Road.

This home has been vacant for some time and Rumson police have had other incidents of local teens sneaking inside. The teen was charged with burglary, obstructing the administration of law and resisting arrest. Police think he and some other teens, who ran off and were not caught, got inside through an unsecured door.

In other Rumson crime news, a 28-year-old Rumson man was arrested on July 5 and charged with a DUI in the area of Heathcliff Road.
