Major Power Outage In Highlands, Atlantic Highlands

HIGHLANDS, NJ — There is currently a widespread power outage in Highlands and Atlantic Highlands Friday afternoon, Atlantic Highlands police said.

Due to the outage, most traffic lights on Highway 36 are out. Please do not try to cross at closed intersections.

The Atlantic Highlands Police Department is making preparations now to control Highway 36 and First Avenue, with police officers to assist motorists in and out of town while the power is still out.
