• Haunted Rumson Takes Center Stage In Ghosts On The Coast Lecture (patch.com) — Rumson residents can dive into the borough's eerie history at a free "Ghosts on the Coast: Haunted Rumson" lecture at Bingham Hall on Wednesday evening. Historian Greg Caggiano will share eight to ten stories about local ghosts, haunted houses, cemeteries, and legends, including new material and a revisit to the 1877 J.P. Cooper Mansion. Registration is through the Oceanic Free Library, and admission is open to all.
   

• 2026 Capital Improvement Projects (rumsonnj.gov) — Rumson residents should prepare for a three‑month road improvement project affecting Buttonwood Lane, Broadmoor Drive, and Thornton Way, bringing drainage fixes, new curbs, and full resurfacing along with temporary closures and driveway impacts. At the same time, a major upgrade to West Park / Jumping Point Park will add a new playground, better waterfront access, and fresh landscaping, funded partly by a county grant.
   

• Shore Sports Insider Football Top 12, Week Six (shoresportsinsider.com) — Rumson-Fair Haven football fans just watched the Bulldogs drop to No. 4 in the Shore Sports Insider Top 12 after a 51-13 loss to top-ranked Donovan Catholic, but they remain firmly in the title hunt. A huge rivalry showdown at Red Bank Catholic this Friday will likely decide the Class A North crown and could reshape the Shore Conference rankings again.
