Ring in the New Year with Local Flair

Below is a list of local spots where you can find the perfect New Year's celebration for your style. The best part? You don't have to leave Rumson or Fair Haven!

will be serving, among other delights, a traditional vegetarian New Year’s Eve soup, served with house made pasta for $8 and a grilled “King” salmon filet with celery root puree, roasted winter mushrooms and imported saba (a lightly sweet, unfermented syrup made primarily from the must of Trebbiano grapes) for $32.

will ring in 2012 David Burke style. Their New Year's Eve menu is available from 5 p.m. until the champagne runs out. The meal will include champagne, 4 courses and live entertainment for $105 but seating is limited. 

On New Year's Day the family can enjoy a full Brunch Buffet and David's whimsical interpretation of the Jersey Shore boardwalk: stuff your own donuts with caramel, chocolate and berry sauces and cotton candy, along with traditional favorites. Call 732.842.8088 for reservations.

At the you can enjoy a four course dinner prepared by Executive Chef Bobby Belt.  Then dance the night away with DJs from "An Affair To Remember."  The evening will include party favors and a champagne toast. Join Chef Luke Ong at as you welcome in the new year. There will be a limited A’ la carte menu and a Prix Fixe menu available. The seating’s will begin at 5:00-6:30 and a second seating will be available beginning at 8:00 p.m. till closing or the New Year arrives.  The Prix Fixe menu will include seared Hudson Valley foie gras, poached lobster and roasted Venison. The meal will end sweetly with a strawberry cheesecake with a black pepper and balsamic vinegar reduction. Reservations may be made at 732 530 3338.

The will be hosting 2 seatings of a prix fixe menu featuring chateau Briand and butter poached lobster.  The first seating will begin at 6:30 until 8:30 at a cost of $60 per person.  The second seating will begin at 9:00 p.m. at a cost of $90 per person. Call 732 747 4666 for reservations.

is planning a fun evening with live entertainment by Wayne Scheller.  They will be offering their regular menu, along with some extra special meals. You can expect to see horseradish encrusted sea bass or a delicious surf and turf.  Enjoy a champagne toast at midnight. Nauvoo will be open from 6 p.m. and into the New Year.
