Rumson To Hold Prescription Take-Back Day
Have extra prescriptions cluttering your medicine cabinet? You can safely dispose of them on Oct. 22.
RUMSON, NJ-- The Rumson Police Department will be holding a prescription drug take-back day on Oct. 22. The day is a part of the DEA's national initiative to safely collect and dispose of old, expired or unneeded prescriptions.
National Prescription Drug Take-Back's provide residents with a way to reliably dispose of prescription drugs, as well as providing education on the potential for prescription abuse. The last take-back event Rumson held collected nearly 37 pounds of pharmaceuticals.
You can only drop off medications prescribed to you or a member of your household that was obtained legally. Liquid medications and medical syringes cannot be collected.

Drop off will be held between 10:00 AM and 2:00 PM at the Rumson Police Department (80 East River Road).
