Rumson Woman Thanks Police Officer For Clearing Snow
Every time it snows, Patrolman Bryan Dougherty gets his snow blower out and cleans the entire block (4 streets).

RUMSON, NJ — Patch published this article on Friday, about a Highlands police officer who gave a teen a new pair of boots in the snowstorm. And then we asked readers if they've seen any other remarkable acts of kindness during this period of brutally cold, if not downright dangerous, weather.
One reader in Rumson wrote to us and said she wanted to thank her local Rumson police officer, Patrolman Bryan Dougherty. In fact, Dougherty was out there Saturday morning, writes Rumson resident Dora Finamore.
"I read your article about the patrolman in Highlands who helped that young boy. I was touched by such kindness and wanted to share a picture of my neighbor, a Rumson police officer, who helps the entire block where we live," said Finamore. "Every time it snows, he gets his snow blower out and cleans the entire block (4 streets). We have several older adults in the area who would never be able to clean their walkways. His name is Bryan Dougherty. It is not every day that you see such selfless acts of kindness."
