• Upper Saddle River mosque hearing delayed again amid debate (northjersey.com) — Upper Saddle River officials have again postponed the Planning Board hearing on converting the former Saddle River Methodist Church and Cultural Center on West Saddle River Road into a mosque, now set for Sept. 24. The proposal has already drawn an unenforceable petition with more than 1,000 signatures, making this a closely watched land-use and community issue for residents near the Saddle River border.
