1 DWI, 2 Possession of Marijuana Arrests Made in Scotch Plains
Scotch Plains reported making six arrests from March 22 to 27 in the blotter.

Scotch Plains, NJ -- Two drug arrests and a DWI arrest were made by Scotch Plains police, according to the blotter.
On March 22: Ronald Tozer, age 22, of Dunellen was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Off. Luciano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Terrill Rd. While speaking to the driver, and Tozer who was a passenger, Off. Luciano smelled the order of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. Off. Luciano’s investigation led to the arrest of Tozer who had a bag of marijuana in his possession. Tozer was transported to headquarters for processing and given a bail of $1,000.
On March 24: Suloton Avent, age 21, of Plainfield, was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Off. Aversa conducted a motor vehicle stop on Terrill Rd. and discovered Avent had active warrants out of the Scotch Plains and the Cranford Courts. Avent was transported to headquarters for processing.

On March 24: Jabril Muhammad, age 21, of Plainfield, was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Off. Everitt conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 22 East and found the driver, Muhammad, to have an active warrant from the Highland Park Municipal Court. Following Muhammad’s arrest, he was found to be in possession of marijuana. Muhammad was transported to headquarters for processing.
On March 25: Katherine Bracamonte, age 30, of Rahway, was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Off. Pereira conducted a motor vehicle stop on Lake Ave. and discovered Bracamonte had an active warrant out of the Roselle Municipal Court. Bracamonte was transported to headquarters for processing.

On March 25: Robert Cusmano, age 20, of Colonia was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Off. Everitt conducted a motor vehicle warrant on Mountain Ave. and discovered Cusmano had an active warrant out of the Marlboro Municipal Court. Cusmano was transported to headquartres for processing.
On March 27: Keith Ramnarine, age 23, of Jersey City was arrested for Driving While Under the Influence. Off. Everitt stopped Ramnarine on Route 22 East after he committed several motor vehicle violations. Off. Everitt noticed a strong odor of alcohol which led to having Ramnarine perform a series of field sobriety tests. Ramnarine was unable to complete any of the tests and at that time was placed under arrest. Ramnarine was transported to headquarters for additional tests and processing.
