2 Attempted Home Burglaries Reported In Fanwood

Fanwood Police are warning residents to be on alert after two attempted home invasions were reported over the weekend in the borough.

FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood Police are warning residents to be on alert after two attempted home invasions were reported over the weekend in the borough.

In both attempted burglaries, entry was not gained, Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo reported.

On Friday, Feb. 17 at approximately 7:15 p.m.: An unknown person attempted to gain entry to a home in the 400 Block of North Avenue by breaking a rear window.

On Saturday, Feb. 18 at approximately 8 p.m.: An unknown person attempted to gain entry to a Tower Place home by forcing in a garage door.

All residents are encouraged to contact the Fanwood Police Department if they observe any suspicious activity, persons or vehicles, Trigo said.
