• Scotch Plains Gets $2M Union County Grant to Rebuild Memorial Field (TAPinto.net) — Scotch Plains has secured a $2 million Union County grant to overhaul Memorial Field on Plainfield Avenue, upgrading recreation facilities while expanding its 9/11 memorial. Over the next 30 months, the township will handle design, bidding, and construction to improve safety, accessibility, and playing conditions without requiring local tax matching funds, making better use of limited open space for residents.
