Hello World! A Cake Pop Entrepreneur's Beginnings

I'm Mariel.  I'm a baker. Have you guessed that much?

I'm currently hurtling into my last few months of high school, trying to show the world, and my kitchen what's what.  

I grew up in a very small kitchen full of clinking cake pans, flying flour, and my loving Filipino parents. Baking has been in my blood since the beginning, and it's awesome. Finding a career in nursing is in there too, but college is college.  And baking is more than that; It's a vessel for spreading love from deep down where it's real. 

Fun fact about me: I live with a furry, fluffy, hyperactive dog named Max. He's a rascal... a hungry, cuddly, sock-destroying monster. And I love him.  I hope you meet him sometime. Or maybe find a dog friend that's almost as adorable as him.

Another thing, this first post may sound like a mishmosh of random interesting things about me, but I'm pretty new to this blogging business.  I'm just testin' the waters, here :)
