Wednesday, May 13, 2026 at 7:00pm
Please join us at the Scotch Plains Public Library on Wednesday, May 13th at 7:00pm via Zoom for a special program celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander Heritage Month.
From the beginning of U.S. history, Asian people were present among the diverse population of the colonies. The immense global trade activity established by the British East India Company brought goods, ideas—and people—to the Mid-Atlantic region during the 18th century. Learn how these individuals, who included sailors, soldiers, traders, and enslaved people, navigated American society and took part in the Revolution.
