Center for Hope in Scotch Plains Holds Successful Fashion Show Fundraiser

Auxiliary Members Walked the Runway, Supporters Bid on Over 100 Baskets at Annual Benefit for Union County Non-profit

SCOTCH PLAINS, N.J., October 24, 2017 – On Sunday, October 15, approximately 400 people gathered for the annual Fashion Show Luncheon & Tricky Tray fundraiser to benefit the Center for Hope, a non-profit hospice and palliative care organization serving people in Union County and surrounding areas, as well as in its two residential hospice facilities: Peggy’s House in Scotch Plains and Father Hudson House in Elizabeth. The event, held at Pines Manor in Edison, included a runway fashion show, a tricky tray with over 100 baskets and high-value raffle prizes. It was sponsored by Unity Bank and coordinated by the Center’s Auxiliary, the volunteer fundraising arm of the Center. Proceeds from the event support the Center’s Charitable Care Program, which provides nearly $3 million in free or reduced-cost care to those in need. Among the attendees were (l. to r.) COO Jeffrey Lampl, event co-chair Lydia Allen, President Frank Brady and Marge Hussey, a member of the Board of Trustees and the event’s ad journal co-chair.
