Fanwood Police Warn Residents Of IRS Scam
"Several residents have reported they have received calls from the IRS regarding unpaid taxes. THIS IS A SCAM," Fanwood Police say.

FANWOOD, NJ — Fanwood Police are warning residents about an IRS scam where someone pretends to be from the IRS and is calling about unpaid taxes.
"Several residents have reported they have received calls from the IRS regarding unpaid taxes. THIS IS A SCAM," Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo stated.
The IRS never contacts anyone by phone. If you receive a call regarding your need to pay taxes, contact the Fanwood Police Department at (908) 322-5000.
