FW Police Search for Man Wanted for Shoplifting

Fanwood police are searching for an unknown suspect accused of shoplifting items from a South Avenue store Wednesday night.

At 9:37 p.m., employees of the store reported witnessing the suspect put items in his shirt and flee the scene, Fanwood detective Eugene Chin said in a phone interview. They described the suspect as a bald, 5-foot-nine-inch black male, in his late-30s or early-40s, with a medium build and some facial hair. He wore a gray sweatshirt with green stripes at the time of the robbery, Chin said.
