Marijuana, Fraud, Warrant Arrests Reported In Scotch Plains
Scotch Plains Police reported making multiple arrests for marijuana possession and outstanding warrants, according to the police blotter.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — Scotch Plains Police reported making multiple arrests for marijuana possession and outstanding warrants, according to the police blotter.
Scotch Plains Police Blotter:
On March 20: Patrol units responded to 2364 Beryllium Road on a report of a fire inside of a wall. The Scotch Plains Fire Department responded as well as Union County Hazmat due to the fact that chemicals were inside the building. The fire was extinguished without incident.

On March 22: Shamira K. May, 28, of Piscataway was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Scotch
Plains by Patrolman Rich Sopko. She was transported to headquarters and processed.
On March 23: Amanda R. Rodriguez, 30, of Rahway was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Orange during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Mike Smolinski. She was transported to headquarters and processed.

On March 24: Amber Braithwaite, 24, of Bronx, New York was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of
Scotch Plains by Patrolman Joe Mirabile. She was processed and released.
On March 24: A resident in the 300 block of Montague Ave. reported a fraud. The victim stated that someone opened an on-line Home Depot account in his name.
On March 24: Anthony N. Lentini, 25, of Westfield was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Dave Belford. He was transported to headquarters and
processed.
On March 25: Kemar R. Purcell, 38, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Piscataway during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Dave Belford. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On March 28: Aljahir Carson, 21, of Irvington was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Plainfield during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Damian Serafin. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On March 28: Tynesha C. Brown, 23, of Plainfield was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Patrolman Zack VonLangen. She was transported to headquarters and processed.
On March 28: Luis M. Bezares, 20, of Somerset was arrested and charged with possession of marijuana
during a motor vehicle stop conducted by Sgt. Stan Pearson. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On April 1: Kameil Z. Brown, 39, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of Plainfield during an investigation at the Hillside Cemetary located at 1401 Woodland Ave. Arrested by Patrolman Rich Hernandez. He was transported to headquarters and processed.
On April 1: Renzo E. Zavala-Obeso, 32, of Edison was arrested on an outstanding warrant out of South Plainfield.
