Scam IRS Calls Reported In Fanwood
Several Fanwood residents are reporting receiving phone calls from those claiming to be from the IRS about unpaid taxes. "THIS IS A SCAM."

FANWOOD, NJ — Several Fanwood residents are reporting receiving bogus phone calls from those claiming to be from the United States Department of Treasury on behalf of the Internal Revenue Service, IRS regarding unpaid taxes.
"THIS IS A SCAM," Fanwood Police Chief Richard Trigo stated in an email to residents. "The IRS never contacts anyone by phone."
