Scotch Plains Local Arrested For Heroin, Marijuana: Blotter

Scotch Plains, NJ -- Anthony Debellis, age 22, of Scotch Plains was arrested for Possession of Marijuana and Heroin on April 7 following a motor vehicle stop on Jackson Avenue because the vehicle did not have any license plates, Scotch Plains Police reported.

Debellis was transported to headquarters for processing and released on a summons.

On March 28: Stanley Kuleke, age 39, of West Orange was arrested for exhibiting a fraudulent Insurance card to a Law Enforcement Officer. Off. Lavery conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 22 East for a motor vehicle violation, at which time Kuleke presented him with an insurance card that was fraudulent. Kuleke was arrested and transported to headquarters where he was processed and released with summons.

On March 30: Jwan Miller, age 21, of Plainfield was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Off. Lavery conducted a motor vehicle stop on Route 22 East which turned into a criminal investigation after smelling the odor of marijuana coming from within the vehicle. Following Off. Lavery’s investigation, Miller was found to be in possession of marijuana. Miller was transported to headquarters for processing and given a bail of $1,000.

On April 1: Zakaria Darouichi, age 24, of Plainfield was arrested on outstanding warrants. Off. D. Belford conducted a motor vehicle stop on Terrill Rd. and found the driver, Darouichi, to have active warrants out of the Boroughs of Dunellen and North Plainfield. Darouichi was transported to headquarters for processing.

On April 1: Mark Darouichi, age 59, of Mountainside N.J. was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Darouichi was stopped by Off. Pereira on Route 22 for a motor vehicle violation and discovered he had an active warrant out of the City of Plainfield, N.J. Darouichi was transported to headquarters for processing.

On April 5: Kevin Lewis, age 25 of Scotch Plains was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Off. Rites had conducted a motor vehicle stop on Front St. and discovered Lewis had active warrants out of the Plainfield Municipal Court. Lewis was transported to headquarters for processing.

On April 5: Kandi Butler, age 39 of Hawthorne was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Off. Mirabile conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 22 East and discovered Butler had an active warrant out of the Prospect Park, N.J. Municipal Court. Butler was transported to headquarters and released on bail.

On April 5: Wendy Varela, age 27, of North Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Off. D. Belford had conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rahway Rd. and discovered the driver, Varela, had an active warrant out of the Plainfield Municipal Court. Varela was transported to headquarters for processing.

On April 6: Desiree Young, age 26, of Edison was arrested for an outstanding warrant. Off. Luciano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 22 East and discovered Young had an active warrant out of the Jersey City, N.J. Municipal Court. Young was transported to headquarters for processing.

On April 7: Adalberto Martinez, age 26, of Union City was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Off. Luciano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 22 East and detected the odor of marijuana. Off. Luciano conducted an investigation which led to Martinez, a passenger in the vehicle, to be arrested for possession of marijuana. Martinez was transported to headquarters for processing and released on a summons.

On April 9: Cade Prenovost, age 21, of Maplewood was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Off. D. Belford conducted a motor vehicle stop on Terrill Rd., at which time he detected the odor of marijuana. Off. Belford’s investigation led to finding marijuana on Prenovost. Prenovost was arrested and transported to headquarters for processing and released on a summons.

On April 9: Paul Sweat, age 36, of Plainfield was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Off. Everitt conducted a motor vehicle stop on Raritan Rd. and detected an odor of marijuana. Off. Everitt’s investigation led to the discovery of marijuana within the vehicle. Sweat was transported to headquarters for processing and released with summons.

On April 10: Austin Davis, age 22, of Cliffwood, N.J. was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Off. Von Langen conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rt. 22 West and detected the odor of marijuana. Off. Von Lagen’s investigation resulted in finding marijuana in the vehicle. Davis was transported to headquarters for processing.
