Scotch Plains Man Arrested for Having Stolen Cell Phone: Blotter
Stolen cell phone, a theft from a car parked on Tussel Lane and arrests for Marijuana were reported last week in the Scotch Plains blotter

Scotch Plains, NJ -- Stolen cell phone, a theft from a car parked on Tussel Lane and arrests for Marijuana were reported last week in Scotch Plains, according to the police blotter.
Feb. 29 - Darryl Miller, age 53, of Scotch Plains was arrested for receiving stolen property. Officer Gonzales arrested Miller following an investigation into a cell phone that was stolen from The Pizza Bothers restaurant location on East 2nd St. Miller who was found to be in possession of the stolen phone, also had several outstanding warrants. Miller was arrested at a North Ave. Plainfield address and was transported to headquarters for processing.
March 2 - A Tussel Ln. resident reported a Burglary to their vehicle. The resident stated that sometime during the overnight, someone entered their unlocked vehicle and stole personal items from within the vehicle. The vehicle was parked in front of the apartment at the time of the theft.

March 5 - Julianna Toro, age 23, of Piscataway was arrested for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. Officer Luciano conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rahway Rd. in which Toro was a passenger. Following an investigation into the odor of marijuana, Toro was found to be in possession of a marijuana grinder. Toro was transported to headquarters for processing.
March 6 - Omar Warren, age 26, of Newark and Robert Hampton, age 50, of Newark were arrested on outstanding warrants. Officer B. Belford conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rout 22 West and discovered both men in the vehicle had active warrants. Both Warren and Hampton were transported to headquarters for processing.

March 6 - Rukmal Perera, age 28, of Plainfield was arrested on an outstanding warrant. Officer Lavery conducted a motor vehicle stop on Rahway Rd. and discovered Perera had an active warrant out of The South Plainfield Municipal Court. Perera was transported to headquarters and released after posting bail.
March 6 - Shawnelle Lagrande, age 19, of Plainfield was arrested for Possession of Marijuana. Officer D. Belford was is the process of conducting a motor vehicle stop on Terrill Rd., when he observed an object being thrown from the passenger side window. After Off. Belford’s investigation, it was determined that Lagrande had discarded a bag of marijuana prior to being pulled over. Lagrande was transported to headquarters for processing.
