Scotch Plains Man Arrested for Stealing $400 in Lottery Tickets

It was not Andrew Miller’s lucky day.
A Scotch Plains man was arrested and for stealing $400 worth of “scratch off” lottery tickets from a Quick Stop in Middlesex.

On Nov. 14 at 2:41 p.m., Miller tricked the cashier of the Quick Stop, 518 Bound Brook Road into handing him $400 worth of Instant Lottery tickets to examine, Officer Daniel McCue said.
Miller then fled the store with the “scratch off” tickets without paying for them, police reported.

Miller was remanded to the Middlesex County Adult Correctional Center on $10,000 bail.
