St. John's Back to School Community Fair

Youth Free Event Free Food Free Fun Free Gifts

St. John's Baptist Church hosted its 9th annual Back to School Community Fair on Saturday, Sept. 9.
Young members of the community received free school supplies and enjoyed music, food and fellowship at the landmark church in Scotch Plains.

The Outreach Ministry gave out 135 bags of free meals and school supplies to young children that came to the fair. In addition families received free information from various organizations: NJPAC, Family Promise, Support the Girls, Scotch Plains Library, Social Justice Matters, Y-Achievers, JFK and many more.

It was a beautiful day and everyone enjoyed a free afternoon of fun, food and diversity. Free raffle prizes culminated the day; the winners were happy to receive bicycles, gift cards, backpacks and gifts basket.
