• Emergency dredging project will help clear sandbar from shore waterway (ocnjdaily.com) — Boaters in Sea Isle City should soon see safer conditions in Townsends Inlet, as an emergency dredging project will remove a massive sandbar clogging the busy channel to Avalon. With $250,000 in county emergency funding and existing dredging equipment on-site, officials expect the work to move quickly and significantly improve both recreational and commercial boat traffic near the Townsends Inlet Bridge.
