Loaded Gun, Cocaine Found At Red Roof Inn In Secaucus, Police Say

Yet more crime at the Red Roof Inn on Meadowlands Parkway: Police were called there Monday afternoon for a fight involving a gun.

SECAUCUS, NJ — Secaucus police were called to the Red Roof Inn motel on Monday and found suspected cocaine and a loaded handgun inside one of the rooms.

This is the second serious criminal incident at the Red Roof Inn this winter — a woman was robbed and raped there in January — and it has prompted new Secaucus Police Chief Dennis Miller to vow he will be creating a task force to fight vice crimes, such as prostitution, in Secaucus motels.

A Guttenberg man, 23, and a Union City woman, 25, were found in the room and arrested.
