Secaucus Police Blotter, March 6 - March 12
There was a stolen car parked at the Red Roof Inn Saturday morning, police say. A man was arrested and charged:

SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:
On March 7 at 7:52 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 38-year-old male, William Bonilla of North Bergen, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Livingston, NJ with no bail. Mr. Bonilla was also issued five motor vehicle summonses. Officers from the Livingston Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Mr. Bonilla for transport to their authority.
On March 9 at 7:36 p.m., Secaucus Police received information that an individual who had an outstanding warrant was staying at a hotel within Secaucus, NJ. The police responded to the Harmony Suites located at 455 Plaza Drive and took into custody a 30-year-old male, Robert Hollingsworth of South Bound Brook, NJ for 1 outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of Easton, PA with no bail along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clementon, NJ in the amount of $750.00 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Raritan Boro, NJ in the amount of $300.00. Mr. Hollingsworth was additionally charged with Being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Mr. Hollingsworth was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On March 11 at 10:05 a.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway. The involved vehicle was found to be reported stolen from Baltimore, Maryland. During the investigation, the police arrested a 53-year-old male, Joey McClain of Burgaw, NC for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A]. Mr. McClain was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody.
On March 11 at 11:00 a.m., after a follow-up investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Detective Division in regards to an incident of lewdness that occurred at 1000 Riverside Station Boulevard on March 7, the police arrested a 36-year-old male, Rideef Scruggs of East Orange, NJ for Criminal Sexual Contact [2C:14-3b] and Lewdness [2C:14-4A]. Mr. Scruggs turned himself in at Secaucus police headquarters for the charges. Mr. Scruggs was issued his complaint summons and was released from police custody. On March 11 at 9:41 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 41-year-old male, Tomungi Adams of Brooklyn, NY for Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A] for possessing a license plate that was reported stolen in New York state. Mr. Adams was issued his complaint summons along with six motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.
On March 12 at 12:45 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 41-year-old male, Manuel Duarte of Union City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Cedar Grove, NJ in the amount of $750 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $250. Both Cedar Grove and North Bergen released Mr. Duarte on his own recognizance pending future court dates and he was released from police custody.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
