SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police and unedited by Patch, all the arrests in the past two weeks:

On May 27 at 11:00 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus police arrested a 22-year-old male, Miguel Ocasio of Jersey City, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)], Possession of CDS believed to be THC Oil [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Ocasio was served his complaint warrant, was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On May 28 at 8:59 p.m., a 22-year-old male, Lamar Cattenhead of Jersey City, entered Secaucus police headquarters for the purpose of turning himself in on several outstanding warrants. Mr. Cattenhead was arrested for two outstanding warrants issued out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $7,500, one outstanding warrant issued out of Hasbrouck Heights, NJ in the amount of $500, one outstanding warrant issued out of Linden, NJ in the amount of $500 and one outstanding warrant issued out of Columbia, NJ in the amount of $500. Mr. Cattenhead was subsequently transported to the Jersey City Police Department where custody was transferred to the Jersey City Police.

On May 30 at 4:32 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 28-year-old male, Willie Martin of Jersey City, NJ for two outstanding warrants issued out of Hoboken, NJ in the amount of $148. Mr. Martin was able to post bail for the involved warrants and was subsequently released from police custody.

On May 30 at 5:48 p.m., Secaucus police responded to Best Buy located at 925 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a fraud. During the investigation, the police arrested a 24-year-old male, Byron Johnson of the Bronx, NY for Exhibiting a False Government Document, specifically a Fraudulent Driver’s License [2C:21-2.1C], Theft of Identity [2C:21-17A(4)], Criminal Attempt to Commit Theft by Deception [2C:5-1A(1)] and Conspiracy to Commit Theft by Deception [2C:5-2A(1)]. Mr. Johnson was served his complaint summons and was subsequently released from police custody.

On June 2 at 10:28 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus police arrested Rasheda Hinnant, 30 of East Orange, for an outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus in the amount of $200. She was able to post bail and subsequently released from police custody. She was also issued two motor vehicle summonses.

From the week prior:

On May 21 at 11:58 a.m., Secaucus police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting incident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 59-year-old male, Kevin Chambers of Jersey City, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Chambers was also found to have one outstanding warrant out of Jersey City, NJ in the amount of $100. Mr. Chambers was served his complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On May 22 at 6:48 a.m., Secaucus police responded to UPS located at 493 County Ave. on a report of a terminated employee being in possession of a controlled dangerous substance. During the investigation, the police arrested a 20-year-old male, Taji McCoy of Newark, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. McCoy was served his complaint summons and was released from police custody.

On May 22 at 12:28 p.m., Secaucus police arrested at 15-year-old juvenile male of Secaucus for possessing suspected marijuana. He was charged with Possession of Marijuana [2C:35-10a(4)] and released to his parent.

On May 23 at 10:46 a.m., Secaucus police responded to the area of Rt. 3 West near the Maple Street ramp on a report of a male possibly attempting to cross the highway. During the investigation, the police arrested a 35-year-old male, Carlos Ramirez-Balbuena of New Brunswick, NJ for seven outstanding warrants out of New Brunswick, NJ in the amount of $4,000. Mr. Ramirez-Balbuena was unable to post bail and was subsequently transported to the New Brunswick Police Department.

On May 23 at 3:44 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Bloomfield police department to take custody of a 36-year-old male, Brian Durant of East Orange, NJ for one outstanding warrant out of Secaucus with no bail. Mr. Durant was also found to have two outstanding warrants out of Union Township, NJ in the amount of $1,500 and one outstanding warrant out of Montville Township, NJ in the amount of $750. Officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus police headquarters to take custody of Mr. Durant for transport to the Hudson County Jail.

On May 23 at 5:26 p.m., Secaucus police responded to the Home Depot located at 1055 Paterson Plank Road on a report of a shoplifting incident. During the investigation, the police arrested a 36-year-old female, Danielle Wolf of Jersey City, NJ for Theft by Deception [2C:20-4] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Ms. Wolf was also found to have one outstanding NCIC warrant issued out of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Office with no bail, along with one outstanding warrant out of Bayonne, NJ in the amount of $750, one outstanding warrant out of Brick Township, NJ in the amount of $500 and one outstanding warrant out of Elizabeth, NJ in the amount of $500. Officers from the Hudson County Sheriff’s Office responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters to transport Ms. Wolf to the Hudson County Jail.

On May 25 at 11:09 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 22-year-old female, Yelena Batista of West New York, NJ for one outstanding warrant issued out of Guttenberg, NJ in the amount of $250.00. Ms. Batista was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Alprazolam [2C:35-10A(1)], Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. A 20 year old female, Christina Sanchez of Guttenberg, NJ was also arrested for one outstanding warrant out of West New York, NJ in the amount of $711. Ms. Sanchez was also charged with Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)]. Ms. Batista was served her complaint warrant and was transported to the Hudson County Jail. Ms. Sanchez was served her complaint summons and was subsequently released from police custody.

On May 26 at 9:28 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus police arrested a 41-year-old male, Won Chung of Fort Lee, NJ for one outstanding warrant out of Ridgefield Park, NJ in the amount of $300. Mr. Chung was able to post bail for the involved warrant. Mr. Chung was served three motor vehicle summonses and was subsequently released from police custody.

These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
