SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus police and unedited by Patch, all of last week's incidents in town:
On Oct. 15 at 6:37 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart on a report of a female who had passed out. A 30-year-old female, Stephanie Nunez of Jersey City, NJ was arrested for Being Under the Influence of an Intoxicant [2C:35-10.4B(1)] and Possession of an Intoxicant [2C:35-10.4B(2)]. Ms. Nunez was served her complaint and was released from custody. At 9:39 a.m. on the same date, the police responded to the CVS parking lot on a report of a female who was passed out on the ground. During the investigation, Ms. Nunez was again arrested for being Under the Influence of an Intoxicant [2C:35-10.4B(1)], Possession of an Intoxicant [2C:35-10.4B(2)] and Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. Ms. Nunez was served her complaint and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Oct. 15 at 3:19 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, police arrested a 27-year-old male, Jose Tavares of Union City, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Bordentown, NJ in the amount of $500. Mr. Taveras posted bail and was released from custody.

On Oct. 15 at 5:08 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, the Secaucus Police arrested a 41-year-old female, Lequette Celestine of Jersey City, NJ for outstanding warrants out of Guttenberg, NJ in the amount of $108.00, Union City, NJ in the amount of $100 and 1 no-bail NCIC warrant out of Orange, NJ. Mr. Taveras was subsequently transported to Orange Police Department and was left in their custody.
On Oct. 15 at 9:37 p.m., Secaucus Police observed a suspicious vehicle in the area of 850 Paterson Plank Rd. During the investigation the police arrested a 35-year-old male, Claudio Peralta of the Bronx, NY for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Mr. Peralta was served his complaint and was released from custody.

On Oct. 16 12:59 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Red Roof Inn at 15 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a suspicious person on the property. During the investigation the police arrested a 45-year-old male, Steven Rosenfeld of Bergenfield, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Bergenfield, NJ in the amount of $300. Bergenfield PD did release Mr. Rosenfeld on his own recognizance and he was released from custody.
On Oct. 16 at 2:34 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Passaic County Jail to take custody of a 20-year-old male, Mathew Mendez of Clifton, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $3,000. Mr. Mendez was unable to post bail and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Oct. 18 at 10:22 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Paterson Plank Rd. During the investigation, a 29-year-old male, Gabriel Benavides of Kearny, NJ was arrested for an outstanding warrant out of Budd Lake, NJ in the amount of $235. Mr. Benavides was released on his own recognizance by Budd Lake PD and he was subsequently released from custody.
On Oct. 18 at 5:25 p.m., Jersey City PD transported a 61-year-old male, Johnny Mendola of Bayonne, NJ to Secaucus Police Headquarters for having two warrants out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $1,000. Mr. Mendola posted bail and was released from custody.
On Oct. 18 at 4:35 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, the Secaucus Police arrested a 33-year-old female, Asia Jackson of Newark, NJ for Possession of CDS believed to be Marijuana [2C:35-10A(4)] and Possession of Drug paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Ms. Jackson was also found to have an outstanding warrant out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $350 and Kenilworth, NJ in the amount of $250. Ms. Jackson was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Oct. 19 at 12:11 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the Newark Police Department to take custody of a 29- year-old male, Juvaughn Bonney of Newark, NJ for an outstanding warrant out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500. Mr. Bonney was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Oct. 19 in an ongoing effort to combat vice crimes within the Town of Secaucus, the Secaucus Detective Division arrested the following individuals: A 30-year-old female, Stephanie Bryan of Sacramento, CA for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)] and Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)]. Ms. Bryan was issued her summons and was released from custody. At 7:09 PM, a 42-year-old female, Jinping Zhang of Jiang Xi Providence, China was arrested for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)] and Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)]. Ms. Zhang was issued her summons and was released from custody. At 8:45 p.m., a 21 year old female, Elysha Lewis of Cameron Park, CA was arrested for Engaging in Prostitution [2C:34-1B(8)] and Promoting Prostitution [2C:34-1B(2)]. Ms. Lewis was further found to have an outstanding NCIC no bail warrant out of El Dorado County Sheriff’s Office, CA and was subsequently charged with being a Fugitive from Justice [2A:160-10]. Ms. Lewis was served her complaints and was transported to the Hudson County Jail.
On Oct. 20 at 9:05 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 32-year-old male, Angelo Espinal of North Bergen, NJ for three outstanding warrants out of North Bergen, NJ in the amount of $1,089. Mr. Espinal posted bail and was released from custody.
These charges are merely accusations and the defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
