SECAUCUS, NJ — Released by Secaucus Police, all of last week's arrests:

At 9:44 a.m. on Sept. 12, Secaucus Police observed an individual cross Rt. 3 from the westbound lanes to the eastbound side. For those who did not know, it is technically illegal to walk or ride a bike on Rt. 3. The police stopped the individual in the area of the Fuel 4 gas station at 455 Rt. 3 East. Police arrested a 27-year-old female, Lashay Shivers of Irvington, NJ for Disorderly Conduct [2C:33-2A(2)] and Drug Paraphernalia [2C:36-2]. Shivers was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Irvington in the amount of $5,500 with a 10% option and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Jersey City in the amount of $100. Shivers was issued her complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Sept. 13 at 11:53 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 43-year-old male, Moises Loayza of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Guttenberg, NJ in the amount of $2,500. Loayza was unable to post bail for the involved warrant. Loayza was issued three motor vehicles summonses and officers from the Guttenberg Police Department responded to Secaucus Police Headquarters and took custody of Loayza for transport back to their authority.

On Sept. 13 at 6:35 p.m., in furtherance of an investigation conducted by the Secaucus Police Department Anti-Crime Unit in regards to a gunpoint robbery that occurred at the Exxon gas station at 209 Rt. 3 East on July 10, 2022, police charged a 20-year-old male, Taquan Andrews of Newark, NJ and a 24-year-old male, Ramir Skipwith of Elizabeth, NJ for Robbery [2C:15-1A(2)], Aggravated Assault [2C:12-1B(4)], Theft [2C:20-3A], Unlawful Possession of a Weapon, a Handgun [2C:39-5B(1)], Possession of a Weapon, a Handgun, for an Unlawful Purpose [2C:39-4A(1)], Conspiracy to commit Robbery [2C:5-2A(1)] and Receiving Stolen Property [2C:20-7A]. Both Mr. Andrews and Mr. Skipwith were in custody of the Union County Jail at the time they were charged by the Secaucus Police Department. On Sept. 14 at 9:08 a.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 31-year-old male, Nelson Villegas-Rios of Secaucus, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Paterson, NJ in the amount of $1,500 along with 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Fairfield, NJ in the amount of $550, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Bayonne, NJ in the amount of $500 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Secaucus, NJ in the amount of $500. Villegas-Rios was released on his own recognizance for the outstanding warrants issued out of Bayonne and Secaucus pending future court dates. He was able to post bail for the warrants issued out of Paterson and Fairfield. He was issued two motor vehicle summonses and was released from police custody.

At 5:02 p.m. on Sept. 15, Secaucus Police responded to the Red Roof Inn located at 15 Meadowlands Parkway on a report of a dispute. During the investigation, police arrested a 39-year-old female, Ginette Lezette of Wood Ridge, NJ, for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Passaic, NJ in the amount of $5,000 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of East Rutherford, NJ in the amount of $250. Lezette was released on her own recognizance for both outstanding warrants issued out of Passaic, NJ and East Rutherford, NJ pending future court dates and she was released from police custody.

On Sept. 15 at 11:54 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 27-year-old male, Kelvin Marte of Jersey City, NJ for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Nutley, NJ in the amount of $1,250. Marte was released on his own recognizance for the outstanding warrant pending a future court date, was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and was released from police custody.

On Sept. 16 at 6:19 p.m., during a motor vehicle stop, Secaucus Police arrested a 36-year-old female, Shana Jones of Philadelphia, PA for 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Clarksboro, NJ in the amount of $1,500. Ms. Jones was released on her own recognizance for the involved warrant pending a future court date. Ms. Jones was issued 1 motor vehicle summons and she was released from police custody.

On Sept. 17 at 4:32 p.m., Secaucus Police responded to Walmart located at 400 Park Plaza Drive on a report of a shoplifting. During the investigation, the police arrested a 58-year-old male, Glenn Drummer of Newark, NJ for Shoplifting [2C:20-11B(2)]. Mr. Drummer was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union, NJ in the amount of $1,500, 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Linden, NJ in the amount of $1,000 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Newark, NJ in the amount of $50. Drummer was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.

On Sept. 18 at 4:15 a.m., Secaucus Police responded to the parking lot at 101 Plaza Centre Road on a report of a theft of a motorized scooter. During the investigation, at 9:25 a.m. on the same date, the Anti-Crime Unit responded to Union City and arrested a 19-year-old male, Angel Gomez of Union City for Theft [2C:20-3A] and Conspiracy to commit Theft [2C:5-2A(1)]. The motorized scooter arrest was made after detectives were able to locate the vehicle used in the commission of the theft. Mr. Gomez was also found to have 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Seaside Heights, NJ in the amount of $1,000 and 1 outstanding warrant issued out of Union City, NJ in the amount of $500. The police also arrested a 21-year-oold female, Jeine Vargas of Union City for Conspiracy to commit Theft [2C:5-2A(1)]. Ms. Vargas was issued her complaint summons and she was released from police custody. Mr. Gomez was issued his complaint warrant and was subsequently transported to the Hudson County Jail.
