Somerset residents can speak during public portions as the council weighs how to balance open space, new homes, and park improvements in their own neighborhood.
   

• Somerset County to Commemorate 25th Anniversary of September 11 (sbbnj.com) — Somerset County will hold a 9/11 anniversary ceremony this Friday at 8:46 a.m. outside the Historic Courthouse in Somerville, honoring 39 county residents lost in the attacks. Somerset residents are invited to attend the name reading and wreath presentation at the nearby Memorial Clock Tower and can also sign up online for county alerts and updates.
   

• Video Report: Somerville Library Remains Closed; Standoff Continues between Library Commission and Borough Officials (tapinto.net) — Somerville residents are locked in a tense dispute with the Somerset County Library System over the sudden closure of the Somerville branch, which officials say independent tests show is free of mold. At a packed meeting in Bridgewater, residents and local leaders questioned the justification, transparency, and impact of shifting services away from downtown, while attorneys for the borough and library board continue exchanging letters.
