• South Plainfield to Mark 25th Anniversary of September 11 with Remembrance Ceremony (tapinto.net) — South Plainfield is inviting residents to a 25th anniversary September 11 remembrance ceremony at Monument Park this Friday, Sept. 11, at 11:30 a.m. Local officials and dignitaries will speak as the community honors victims, first responders, and the unity that followed the attacks, with all residents and neighboring communities welcome to attend. 
• Meadow Hartpence Scores Hat Trick in Tigers Varsity Field Hockey's Third Straight over Monroe (tapinto.net) — South Plainfield sports fans can celebrate the high school girls field hockey team's 3-0 season start after a 6-0 shutout at Monroe, powered by freshman Meadow Hartpence's first career hat trick. The Tigers now lead the Greater Middlesex Conference Red Division and will host Arthur L. Johnson High School at the PAL on Thursday at 4 p.m.
