Rt. 27 Now Closed At Princeton Border

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Update 2:50 p.m. Wednesday: Rt. 27 northbound is now closed in South Brunswick at the Princeton border. Too many cars have gotten stuck trying to make it up the hill, police said. Rt. 27 in that area will be closed until the state plows can come through.

Road conditions and visibility have deteriorated since noon today and the accidents have begun in South Brunswick, police report.

This box truck slid over on its side on Davidson Mill Road in the past hour, police said. The driver was not injured.

However, there is also currently an accident on Rt. 130 with minor injuries, police said. And it's havoc on Rt. 27 about a mile north of Princeton border, with a bus and cars that are struggling to get up the hill.

Since about noon today, South Brunswick police have responded to 14 accidents or motorist assists. There is also a police with wires down on the road on Fresh Ponds Road.
