Another Rabies Case in South Brunswick Tuesday
A ground hog submitted for testing came back positive for rabies.

South Brunswick, NJ - Another rabies case has been identified in South Brunswick Township on Tuesday, Patch has learned.
On Tuesday, June 28, the South Brunswick Health Department was notified by the New Jersey State Health Department that a ground hog submitted for testing came back positive for rabies. This ground hog was found in the vicinity of Vincent Avenue in Kendall Park. On Friday, June 24, a bat found in South Brunswick Township came back positive for rabies, as well. That bat was found in the vicinity of Oakey Drive in the Brunswick Acres Development, also in Kendall Park.

- Vaccinate all pets against rabies and keep vaccinations current
- Never feed or touch wild animals and avoid contact with stray pets
- Contact the Health Dept. if your pet comes in contact with a wild animal
- Report unusual behavior of stray or wild animals to South Brunswick Animal Control
- Immediately report any bite from wildlife as well from domestic pets to the South Brunswick Health Department 732-329-4000 ext. 7237 during business hours or to the South Brunswick Police 732-329-4646 nights, weekends, and holidays.
