Despite Uptick, COVID-19 Cases On The Decline In South Brunswick
Town officials said there was "no cause for concern" as South Brunswick reported a slight uptick in COVID-19 cases the past week.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — After three weeks of declining COVID-19 cases, South Brunswick saw a slight uptick in numbers the past week.
However, this should not be a cause for concern “as slight aberrations are common and expected,” township officials said.
For the week of Feb. 21 - 27, South Brunswick reported 36 new cases, and nine additional cases were reported from previous weeks. No fatalities were reported.

Officials said that the overall trend indicates COVID-19 cases in the township are on the decline.
Officials however asked residents to continue with social distancing and mask guidelines.

Meanwhile, Gov. Phil Murphy recently expanded COVID-19 vaccine eligibility, which will now include educators and school staff.
This comes as many school districts, including South Brunswick, reopened for in-person learning in the hybrid track.
