A winter weather advisory will be in effect for Middlesex County from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Friday, according to the National Weather Service.
One to three inches of snow is expected.
The snow will begin falling Friday morning and continue to fall into midday. In some areas, it will mix with, and change over to rain, the weather service said.

The weather service is warning that the snow, sleet and freezing rain could create hazardous travel conditions that will begin as early as the Friday morning commute, then continue thorough the day.
Drivers should be prepared for slippery roads and limited visibility, the weather service said.
