Man Identified in Fatal South Brunswick Crash

The 96-year-old man was in a car driven by his son, 69, on Rt. 32 when they were hit by a BMW.

South Brunswick, NJ - The man killed in Tuesday's tragic car crash on Rt. 32 in South Brunswick Township has been identified as Ira Rothfarb, 96, police told Patch.

Ira was a front-seat passenger in a car driven by his son, Sheldon Rothfarb, 69. Both men live in Monroe.

Sheldon was driving a Honda Accord on Rt. 32 near Cranbury-South River Road (Rt. 535) just after 2 p.m. Tuesday. Their car was struck while making a left turn. The other driver, a 55-year-old Philadelphia resident in a BMW sedan, was not injured. There were no other passengers in the cars, according to police.

No charges have been filed against either driver.
