Maundy Thursday Service of Darkness at Grace Presbyterian Church (Kendall Park, NJ)

Maundy Thursday Worship, April 2 at 7:30 pm, at Grace Presbyterian Church (57 Sand Hills Road, between Routes 1 and 27, Kendall Park, NJ)

Join us for a special worship service on Maundy Thursday, April 2 at 7:30 pm. On this evening, we recall the final meal Jesus had with His disciples before he was betrayed, arrested, and handed over to the Roman authorities. Communion will be served sequentially in small groups around the table. Between communion servings, there will be scripture readings and meditative music, followed by the progressive dimming of the sanctuary lights. At the end of the service, the only remaining light—the Christ candle—will be extinguished and the congregation will leave in darkness.

All are welcome!

Grace Presbyterian Church is the offspring church formed from the merger of the Community Presbyterian Church of the Sand Hills (Kendall Park, NJ) with Miller Memorial Presbyterian Church (Monmouth Junction, NJ) in September, 2014. We are an open, affirming congregation that worships at 57 Sand Hills Rd. (between Routes 1 and 27) in Kendall Park, NJ.
