Members of the New Brunswick community have been recognized by the New Brunswick Knights of Columbus.
The award winners, which include a city firefighter and police captain, were recognized on Wednesday, at the Knights of Columbus annual awards ceremony at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, according to the city’s website.

- Lt. Edward Muller – Deputy Chief James D’heron Firefighter of the Year Award
- Capt. Vincent Sabo – George Seamon Law Enforcement Officer of the Year Award
- Laurel DeJonge – Teacher of the Year Award, New Brunswick High School
- Melissa Parisi – James M. Seamon Educator of the Year Award, New Brunswick Public Schools
- Donna Caputo – Francis “Bud” Murphy Community Activity Award
- Bona Powell – Bill Brooks Senior Citizen of the Year Award
- Elijah’s Promise – Francis J. Crupi Humanitarian Award
- Diane Negri – William Stillwell Religious Activities Award
- Christopher Coulthard – Alec Baker Memorial Award
- Daniel Frazier – EMS Provider of the Year Award
