SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Police have released new details as they hunt for the driver who hit and killed Ronald VonThun, a member of a well-known South Brunswick farm family.

As Patch reported, VonThun, 49, was hit and killed by a car while riding his bicycle on Rt. 522 at 10:06 p.m. last Friday, Dec. 13, police said. VonThun is a member of the family that owns VonThun Farms in South Brunswick. The farm is known for its popular corn maze, and it's a favorite spot for many who go pumpkin-picking in the fall. The VonThuns are best known for naming their elaborate six-acre corn mazes. This was their maze this past fall; last year it was an "Avengers" theme.

Police now revealed the car that hit him was a red 2018-2020 Honda Accord Sedan Sport or Touring, which now has damage to the front-end of the driver’s side due to the fatal impact.
