Pedestrian Struck In South Brunswick Dies From His Injuries

Keith Butterfield, 66 of Kendall Park succumbed to his injuries on Monday, police said. He was struck by a pickup truck on Nov. 8.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — A pedestrian from South Brunswick who was struck on Nov. 8 succumbed to his injuries, South Brunswick police said.

The man was identified as Keith Butterfield, 66 of Kendall Park. Butterfield died Monday at 5:25 p.m. at Rober Wood Johnson Hospital, police said.

On Nov. 8 at 8:11 a.m. police responded to a report of a pedestrian struck on New Road near the Kendall Park Fire House. On arrival they found Butterfield injured on the road, police said. He was struck by a 2019 Toyota pickup truck driven by a 76-year-old Princeton Junction resident. Read More Here: Pedestrian Struck In South Brunswick Monday Morning

The driver of the pickup truck told police he was traveling eastbound on New Road when he struck the pedestrian, who he said was on the road at the time of the crash. The driver said that he was experiencing significant sun glare at the time of the crash, police said.

The investigation remains active and anyone with information is asked to contact South Brunswick Traffic Safety Bureau PFC Jesse Blake at (732)329-4646. No summonses have been issued.
