This Is The Type Of Car That Hit VonThun, South Brunswick PD Says
South Brunswick police on Friday released photos of the type of car that hit well-known local resident Ronald VonThun, and fled.
SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — South Brunswick police on Friday released new photos of the car that hit well-known local resident Ronald VonThun a week before Christmas, killing him and then fleeing the scene.
This Friday night will mark two weeks since the fatal hit-and-run crash that claimed the life of 49-year-old "Ronnie" VonThun, said police.
As Patch reported, VonThun was struck and killed as he was riding his bike on Rt. 522 between Georges Road and Kingston Lane at around 10 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 13. The driver then fled the scene, and was last seen driving on Rt. 522 westbound towards Rt. 1. The car police seek is a 2018/2020 Honda Accord, believed to be an Accord Sport or Touring in red. The Accord should have front-end damage.

VonThun is a member of the family that owns VonThun Farms in South Brunswick. The farm is known for its popular corn maze, and it's a favorite spot for many who go pumpkin-picking in the fall. The VonThuns are best known for naming their elaborate six-acre corn mazes. This was their maze this past fall; last year it was an "Avengers" theme.
VonThun was taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital where he was pronounced dead.

South Brunswick police and Middlesex County Prosecutor's Office are looking to bring closure to the case and speak with the driver of the vehicle. Investigators are looking for help in locating the red car.
