South Brunswick Police, Hospital Paramedics Help Deliver Baby Girl
South Brunswick police and area paramedics helped deliver a baby girl early Thursday morning.

The call came in at 4:15 a.m. Thursday: a 24-year-old woman was in labor at a home in South Brunswick.
Police and paramedics were dispatched to the Aspen Court home.
Minutes later, Officer Tim Hoover got to the house and found Katrina Brookins on the floor, in labor.

By 4:26 a.m., Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital paramedics Amy Fitzpatrick and Greg Lund arrived.
Four minutes later the the patrolman and the paramedics helped deliver a healthy baby girl, according to news release from Lt. James Ryan.

Brookins’ due date was Feb. 16, and the little girl was her second child, police said.
She and her baby, Arianna, were taken to Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick by the Kendall Park First Aid Squad. Both are in good condition, police said.
