A Good Night For Democrats In South Brunswick

Acting South Brunswick Mayor Charles Carley, a Democrat, was able to fend off a challenge from Republican John O'Sullivan. BOE results:

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Acting South Brunswick Mayor Charles Carley, a Democrat, was able to fend off a challenge from Republican John O'Sullivan and keep his seat on Tuesday. Carley won with 71 percent of the vote, about 8,600 votes, compared to 3,600 or 29 percent for O'Sullivan.

Democrat Archana "Ann" Grover defeated Republican Charles Kim for an open Council seat, winning 70 percent (8,538 votes) to his 3,625 votes.

Democrat Kenneth Bierman ran unopposed for the second open council seat.
