Three South Brunswick High School students are working with members of a community organization to raise awareness about Ebola and raise funds to fight the deadly illness.
At Tuesday night’s Township Council meeting, Bhavesh Narala, 17, asked the governing body to issue a proclamation, supporting the efforts of the teens and the Pioneer Grange #1.

“When it comes to health, we are all the same,’’ Narala told the council members.
Narala, along with brothers Milton, 15, and Belwin Winston, 14, have teamed up with members of the local Grange to raise funds for UNICEF’s fight against Ebola.

The Pioneer Grange #1 is part of a national organization that was created in 1867 to aid in the reconstruction of farms in the south after the Civil War, said Maria Kotun, a local Grange member.
The local group was started in late 1800s in New Brunswick, and eventually moved to Ridge Road in South Brunswick.
Mayor Frank Gambatese told the teens their efforts were positive.
“”We will put a proclamation together,’’ he said.
