School & Road Closures, Updated Snow Totals: What To Expect In South Brunswick
Police responded to 15 motor vehicle assists and two motor vehicle crashes.

SOUTH BRUNSWICK, NJ — Schools will close for a second straight day, and roads remain hazardous as South Brunswick grinds through recovery from a historic nor'easter.
School Closures
The South Brunswick School District will be closed Tuesday, Feb. 24, marking the district's second consecutive snow day following a Monday shutdown called in advance as the blizzard moved through the region.
The district has not yet announced makeup days, though under New Jersey state law, districts are required to make up any lost instructional time that pushes them below the state minimum.

Roads Still Dangerous
As of Monday, South Brunswick Police had responded to 15 motor vehicle assists, two motor vehicle crashes and nine reports of downed trees. Officers were on scene for downed trees at Broadway Road and Melrich Road and at Rowland Road and Broadway Road.
Several tractor-trailers became stuck overnight on Route 130 in deep snow, and officials warned that blowing and drifting conditions would persist through the afternoon, making travel dangerous across the township. State, county and South Brunswick DPW crews are actively plowing and treating roadways, but officials cautioned that the storm's scope means cleanup will take multiple days.
