Update: Dey Road Collapse Shuts Down A Portion Of The Roadway

South Brunswick police said they believe the road will be closed for several days while road crews from Middlesex County make repairs.

A portion of the westbound side of Dey Road has collapsed, forcing officials to shut it down for what they estimate will be several days.

The road has been closed because of flooding. The recent warmer temperatures, combined with drainage problems from nearby fields, have pushed excessive amounts of water onto the road, and that water has undermined the roadway, South Brunswick police said in a news release.

The Middlesex County Road Department is working on repairs, but officials believe the closure will last several days.
