The ranking emphasizes value, student outcomes, learning environment, and overall appeal, with Princeton leading the state at No. 4 nationally and several public and private campuses across New Jersey also recognized.
• 2026 Argyllshire Gathering Day 2 (pipesdrums.com) — A South Orange piper, Cameron MacDougall, was among an international field competing at the prestigious Argyllshire Gathering in Oban, Scotland, where top players from Scotland, North America, and beyond vied in multiple piping events. While the major prizes went to Scottish and New Zealand pipers, the results highlight the global reach of competitive piping that now includes talent from South Orange.
