The family-friendly race, including kids' events, steps off September 26 from South Mountain School Annex, with early sponsors featured on race T‑shirts and proceeds funding Achieve's tutoring, grants, arts, and STEM programs.
   

• 17 New Jersey colleges make Time's first Best Colleges list (njbiz.com) — Seton Hall University in South Orange has landed at No. 340 on Time's first-ever America's Best Colleges list, joining 16 other New Jersey schools. • 2026 Argyllshire Gathering Day 2 (pipesdrums.com) — A South Orange piper, Cameron MacDougall, was among an international field competing at the prestigious Argyllshire Gathering in Oban, Scotland, where top players from Scotland, North America, and beyond vied in multiple piping events. While the major prizes went to Scottish and New Zealand pipers, the results highlight the global reach of competitive piping that now includes talent from South Orange.
